UC-AFT Local 1474 Member Enrollment

University Council-American Federation of Teachers is the union that represents lecturers and librarians at the University of California.  UC-AFT membership is not automatic.  You must enroll using this form.

Authorization for Payroll Deduction of Dues

UC-AFT dues are 1.5% of gross monthly salary, with a cap of $100 per month, for librarians and non-Senate faculty who have exclusive representation.  For non-Senate faculty, resignation from membership and concomitant revocation of dues authorization may be submitted between July 1 and July 15 each year, or within 30 days of the MOU expiration date.   Dues will be deducted each month from your payroll check.
 
Non-represented Academic Senate faculty and academic researchers may join UC-AFT and authorize dues deduction using this form. Non-represented dues are .996% of gross monthly pay with a cap of $55 per month.
