PEA is proud to announce another face-to-face offering of the Reading K-12 Subject Area Exam Prep Course! This course is designed to help prepare you for the Reading K-12 Subject Area Exam (passing the exam and adding it to your certificate will satisfy the Reading Endorsement requirement for instructing tier 3 readers as well as the criteria for entering the PCPS coaching pool). This is also the endorsement needed if looking to enter the coachig pool for PCPS. Please note, the ligislation that allows teachers to use the exam in order to achieve endorsement will expire in JUNE of 2024! The Reading K-12 Subject Area Exam Prep Course is 12 hours total over 2 days. Participants who complete both classes must enroll in the NetConnect course and complete the reflection questions (these will be submitted through Schoology) at the end of the course to receive their 24 in-service points. PEA Professional Development is now offered EXCLUSIVELY to members and is FREE!!! You must attend both sessions of the class and complete the follow-up on Schoology to receive in-service points. Those days and times are: Saturday, March 30th from 10 am to 4 pm Saturday, April 6th from 10 am to 4 pm Classes will be held at the PEA office located at: 730 E Davidson St. Bartow, FL 33830 Schoology course code will be emailed to participants upon acceptance into the course a few days before the start of class. The class is capped at 50 participants. Parking can be tricky, so a light lunch and refreshments will be provided (usually pizza).
