The Florida Legislature has worked with School Districts to undermine the intent of the Class Size Amendment.  In this new realm of "choice" schools and "school-wide averages" we need to determine how to move forward contractually.

We are working to improve provisions for Paraprofessionals, Clericals, Security Monitors and School Support Employees.

One provision that was added recently allows Paraprofessionals with a Degree to take a teaching job with reduced risk regarding loss of employment.  It is a career ladder with a safety net.
